Drunk Driving

The following link offers the citizen some visual cues which can aid in the detection of a drunk driver, thereby helping one to hopefully avoid a confrontation/collision with same. If a motorist suspects a car is being driven by a drunk driver, the motorist should:

  • not pass the car;
  • keep a safe distance;
  • notify the police as soon as possible;
  • give an accurate description of the vehicle to dispatch;
  • if possible, follow the vehicle and update dispatch with current location;
  • supply dispatch with personal information to aid in the prosecution.
