Welcome to the Columbus Police Department’s website.  The mission of the Columbus Police Department is to provide the citizens of Columbus with a high level of Police Visibility; a proactive response to suppress crime; safe streets and neighborhoods; and well-trained, highly qualified officers who serve their community with pride.

This is a very exciting time for our department. As our community grows, the community relations programs of the Columbus Police Department continue to grow as well. We offer such programs as the Citizen’s Police Academy, Police/Fire Youth Academy, Police Athletic and Activity League (PAAL), DARE, Teen Driving Course, and The CPD and Me Community Night Out, just to name a few.

We are committed to providing our officers with the highest level of training, the best equipment, and the support that they need to provide the high level of service that the Citizens of Columbus deserve.

We take pride in our efforts to provide the highest level of service possible. One of the tools we use to provide service to our community is this website.
